Memories (since Super Touring era - 1991)/
2009 Two race wins for Colin Turkington as his title bid gathers momentum.
2008 Tom Chilton is fined £1000 and given a six-place grid penalty at the next fixture for wiping out Steven Kane at Knickerbrook on race 3’s opening lap. First podium finish for young rookie Andrew Jordan in third.
2007 Colin Turkington wins race two by the closest victory margin in BTCC history - 0.046s - from Fabrizio Giovanardi (Vauxhall). Mat Jackson (BMW) achieves his first BTCC win in race 3.
2006 Gordon Shedden's first win in the BTCC in Team Dynamics' Honda Integra.
2005 Vauxhall team-mates Colin Turkington and Gavin Smith twice collide and wipe each other out. It’s a horrible day for Vauxhall – in race 3 all its cars, including that of Yvan Muller, are out inside the first two laps.
2004 Dan Eaves takes his first BTCC win, driving a Team Halfords Honda Civic.
2003 Yvan Muller is crowned BTCC Champion for Vauxhall. Robert Collard wins the Independents title.
2002 An emotional Paul O’Neill achieves his first BTCC race win, with Vauxhall.
2001 On his BTCC debut, Andy Priaulx – standing in for suspended Vauxhall driver Phil Bennett – twice qualifies on pole position. But he’s then involved in controversy when he inadvertently pushes off one of the team’s title contenders, Yvan Muller!
2000 Tom Kristensen takes his first BTCC win, with Honda.
1999 Double victory for Nissan’s Laurent Aiello. Russell Spence’s Renault Laguna spectacularly mounts the spectator fencing at Lodge during qualifying.
1996 Kelvin Burt (Volvo) escapes with only concussion after a violent 120mph crash against the barriers heading towards Cascades.
1994 Alain Menu takes Renault’s Laguna to its first BTCC race win. Points leader Alfa Romeo boycotts the meeting in a row over technical conformity (fully-adjustable front splitters).
1992 John Cleland (Vauxhall) has a lucky escape when his Cavalier almost overturns after spinning across the grass exiting Druids.
