Memories (since Super Touring era - 1991)/
2008: Jason Plato’s exploits his SEAT TDI’s extra torque to take pole and two race wins.
2007: Colin Turkington (BMW) wins race 1 but is excluded for running an under-weight car. Gordon Shedden (Honda) is declared the winner. Race 3 sees title rivals Fabrizio Giovanardi (Vauxhall) and Jason Plato (SEAT) run each other off the track briefly. Tom Onslow-Cole (BMW) achieves his maiden BTCC race win.
2006: Title rivals – and bitter enemies – Jason Plato (SEAT) and Matt Neal (Honda) twice clash on the last lap of race 2. Plato survives to win while Neal spins down to eighth.
2005: Tom Chilton (Honda) takes back-to-back wins.
2004: James Thompson ends Vauxhall's agonising 12-race win drought. Local hero Robert Huff (SEAT) scythes through from eighth on the grid to lead at the start of lap two for a memorable win in race 3.
2003: Vauxhall celebrates a 1-2-3 with Paul O’Neill, James Thompson and Yvan Muller. But race 2 is a disaster for it as Muller and Thompson both retire, the latter at Russell chicane on the last lap, just 300 yards from the line.
2002: Matt Neal’s (Vauxhall) title hopes are dashed when his Astra stops twice while he’s out in front.
1999: The BTCC’s first ever night race meeting. David Leslie (Nissan) and Peter Kox (Honda) take the wins.
1997: Alain Menu (Renault) becomes champion, team-mate Jason Plato takes his first BTCC race win and Paul Radisich (Ford) celebrates his 100th BTCC race start.
1996: James Thompson biffs team-mate John Cleland out of the way to give Vauxhall’s Vectra its first victory in a chaotic race 2.
1995: On a damp but drying track, Kelvin Burt (Ford) takes his first BTCC race win by a record winning margin of over 22 seconds.
1994: Jan Lammers qualifies Volvo’s 850 Estate on the front row of the grid but it fails to start on the warm-up lap.
1991: Now Snetterton owner Jonathan Palmer is on the receiving end of a tongue-lashing – caught by BBC Grandstand’s on-board cameras – from fellow BMW racer Nettan Lindgren after he takes them both off at Russell.
1988: Frank Sytner, full of expletives, rages on BBC Grandstand after discovering team-mate Mike Smith nicked a vital point from him for setting fastest lap in class…
