Qualifying, race LIVE on ITV
ITV Sport’s extensive coverage of 2012’s Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship begins this weekend at Brands Hatch.
Britain’s biggest commercial television network will be present at all ten BTCC events right through to October’s finale back at Brands.
Its ITV4 and ITV4 HD (High Definition) channels will broadcast up to a staggering seven hours of live coverage from each fixture meaning viewers will be able to see every second of the season’s fender-scraping action unfold as it happens. All live coverage will be ‘simulcast’ on the www.itv.com website as well.
Fronting the coverage will be arguably UK TV's most respected sports 'anchorman' Steve Rider (pictured), joined by co-presenter Louise Goodman plus race commentators Toby Moody and expert pundit Tim Harvey, 1992's BTCC champion.
Hour-long highlights will then be shown three times in the week following each event on ITV4, ITV1 and their HD channels (and again itv.com).
Furthermore the network has confirmed a continuation of live on-line coverage of all ten Saturday qualifying sessions on its dedicated www.itv.com/btcc web page – thereby enabling fans to see how the first of Sunday’s three starting grids is decided.
