BTCC drivers support troops

Drivers from the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship showed their support for Armed Forces members during a driving day just prior to Christmas at the Donington Park circuit.

Paul O’Neill, Tony Hughes, Chris James, John Thorne and Andy Neate all volunteered their time to pass on encouragement and driving tips during an Injured Troops Track Day at the Leicestershire venue.

Fifty servicemen and women from military charities Blind Veterans UK, Combat Stress, Hedley Court, Help for Heroes and Talking2Minds were able to enjoy the day behind the wheel of an assortment of cars. The event was arranged by Motorsport Endeavour which organises motivational programmes for injured troops who have suffered physical or mental injuries.

Meanwhile our ‘fab five’ are pictured about to go for their own recce of the circuit – in the capable hands of Mr O’Neill… (gulp)!
