Welch video now online
Welch Motorsport has released the first in a series of behind-the-scenes videos it plans during its forthcoming 2013 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship season.
The three-minute film was shot during last weekend’s Autosport International show at Birmingham’s NEC where the Fleet-based squad’s NGTC Proton was part of a high-profile display of BTCC cars.
In it driver Daniel Welch and team principal and father John Welch give insights into what it takes to prepare for the new season. There are also views from Steve Rider – one of the people instrumental in securing the BTCC air time on terrestrial TV back in the Eighties and who, some 25 years later, continues to present ITV’s live race day coverage of the championship.
Meanwhile Welch Motorsport plans to upload a series of 20 'shorts' for fans to view as the year progresses...
