Welcome to the TV Timetable section of btcc.net
For 2011, the BTCC has entered into a new and exciting three-year agreement with the ITV network that will ensure coverage of all its race days continues to be shown live between 11.30am-6.00pm on the ITV4 channel through to 2013 at least.
Furthermore, from 2011 the action will be shown live in 'High Definition' on the new ITV4 HD channel - offering the very best in picture quality with sharper images, richer colours and amazing detail. Alongside that, the www.itv.com website will continue to live-stream all of the race day action - thereby making it virtually impossible for audiences across the UK to miss the action.
On top of that, for the first time, ITV is also providing live coverage of BTCC action on Saturdays in 2011 with every one of the season's timed qualifying sessions being shown online at www.itv.com/touringcars
Post-event, hour-long highlights of the BTCC action will then be aired during the following both the ITV1 and ITV4 (and their HD) channels - sometimes up to four times. Those highlights also become available shortly after each event online, again at www.itv.com/touringcars
Use the timetable on the left to keep up to date with BTCC coverage on ITV4, ITV1 and their HD channels in 2011.
To re-cap, ITV's BTCC coverage in 2011 includes:
- Live coverage of all ten BTCC qualifying sessions (Saturday) on www.itv.com/touringcars
- Live race day coverage on ITV4 & ITV HD, 11.00am to 6.00pm
- 60mins+ highlights on ITV1 & ITV1 HD
- 60mins+ highlights on ITV4 & ITV4 HD (repeated)
- Live-streaming of race day coverage on www.itv.com
- Online highlights replays for 30 days after via the 'ITV Player' at www.itv.com/touringcars
- Highlights all season of every race via the 'race archive' at www.itv.com/touringcars
2011's agreement with ITV extends the network's coverage of the BTCC to 12 consecutive years. ITV's commitment to the BTCC has given the championship a TV arrangement (totalling some 110 hours) that is the envy of many other high-profile race series and sports around the world. It is also highly valued by fans - for example more than 14 million UK-based viewers tuned in to watch in 2010.
