Haymarket’s BTCC Season Review teaser

For the most detailed blow by blow account of the year, there’s no better place to look than the 2014 BTCC Season Review produced by championship media partner Haymarket.

Available now in most good newsagents and supermarkets, the 132-page yearbook takes you through every single race, contains special features and interviews, and sections on all the teams that made up the capacity 2014 grid. You’ll be able to see if you agree with their top ten drivers from the year, and find out more about all the support series on the TOCA package.

Here’s a quick excerpt from the opening Brands Hatch report to whet your appetite…

While Jordan might have snatched pole from Plato for the opening race of the season, the eyes were on the second row, and in particular, the eBay Motors BMW of Colin Turkington. Renowned for strong starts thanks to its rear-wheel-drive layout, the question was whether he could reach the top of Paddock Hill Bend first. Jordan reckoned he would.

But he didn’t. Jordan and Plato went toe to toe to the crest of the hill and they were level turning in to the apex – although Jordan was mightily sideways after a tap from Turkington, which the BMW man later confessed to.

“I didn’t get a great start, to be honest,” admitted Jordan. “As I turned in, I got a bump from behind and that put me sideways. After that it was full power and full lock to get it back.”
