Yesterday at Silverstone we saw the return of the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship’s Top Ten Showdown qualifying format, following its implementation at Snetterton earlier in the campaign.

After an initial 25-minute session, the top ten drivers were promoted to the pole position showdown, where they had ten minutes to give it their all to secure that coveted P1 on the grid for today’s opening contest.
