300 NOT OUT: MORGAN’S THRUXTON MILESTONE

With Round 8 of the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship marking Car Gods with Ciceley Motorsport driver Adam Morgan’s 300th BTCC race start, we caught up with the 33-year-old on qualifying day at Thruxton to discuss his latest accolade.

“I’ve loved every minute of it,” said Morgan. “There’s been ups and downs along the way, but to get 300 is a milestone.”

Reminiscing on his series debut, at Brands Hatch back in 2012, the Lancastrian admitted: “My first race was a disaster, I made it from my grid position to turn one and ended up in a tyre wall. I didn’t make it for race two and in race three somebody dropped a load of oil up at Druids and 12 cars went off including mine… I think the safety car did more laps than I did!”
