BTCC 2013 review on ITV4

Make sure you don't miss our BTCC season review show, which airs on ITV4 and online on Sunday 10th November at 6pm. The show will also be available to watch on ITV Player thereafter and for the following 30 days.

It was a memorable BTCC season for many reasons, not least because of a dramatic title race that went down to the wire in the rain at Brands Hatch, so our ITV colleagues have produced an epic two-hour special to look back at the action.

To get you in the mood you can watch a snippet of the show now atwww.itv.com/btcc/video/video-jordan-reflects-on-btcc-victory as champion Andrew Jordan reflects on that memorable day last month.

“It’s the ups and downs of motorsport – we’ve all had it – but on ‘finals day’ when we were looking so good up until that point, it just felt like having your heart ripped out,” said Jordan on his race two non-finish.

Eventually Jordan made up enough places in race three that would secure him a maidnen title, although the 24-year-old wasn’t convinced at the time: “Adam and Dad were on the radio saying ‘lets hold position we’re fine,’” he said. “I was flapping a bit - ‘are you sure we’re fine? Is this okay?’ In the end they just told me to ‘shut up and drive!’

“I was just praying the car held together. Then the emotion came. I’ll look back in years to come – to do it in the last race with three drivers still in with a chance of winning the championship. One of the guys starting on pole, one who’d won the first two races and me starting from the back of the grid – it’s a special way to do it!”

Andrew gave great credit to his Eurotech team, declaring he was ‘the last piece in the jigsaw’ for the squad’s title win, but he admits that completing the long road with his dad and team boss Mike has been something extra special.

“I often look back at him and I going to my first ever race in rally cross when I was 14,” he concluded. “Just me and him with a van and trailer – it was so cool, no pressure, just going to have a bit of fun. To do that journey with him is really special.”

So remember to see the full interview with Andrew and the complete two-hour review show, make sure you’re watching ITV4 or via itv.com at 6pm this coming Sunday.
